Biblical Worldview
is training to see all of life through the lens of the Bible and discipleship to Jesus.
What are we doing?
Our mission is to glorify God by creating a church that is irresistible to those far from Jesus, indispensable to those following Jesus, and impactful with the love of Jesus.
Renewed Minds
Transformed Hearts
Follow Jesus
How are we doing it?
strategy
-
The Bible is our final and ultimate authority and source of wisdom.
-
We pursue Jesus in a personal and authenic relationship.
-
Excellence honors God- be your best, not someone else’s best.
-
Words are powerful; but God’s word is meant to be lived, not just said.
-
We forge deep, life transforming relationships with Jesus and one another.
-
We have big faith in our big God to do big things in us and through us.
-
Be committed to where God has you right now.
Step 2: Find Community
You weren’t meant to do faith alone.
Relationships are where real growth happens—and we believe circles are better than rows.
Small groups are how big church becomes personal.
-
Attending a small group regularly
Building friendships that encourage spiritual growth.
Praying for and with others
-
I am involved in a small group.
Step 3: Live Like Jesus
Following Jesus isn’t just what we believe—it’s how we live.
Practicing the 9 Habits of Jesus helps us become more like Him, day by day.
-
Daily time in Scripture and prayer
Practicing gratitude and generosity
Living with purpose and Sabbath rest
-
I am in a growing relationship with Jesus by practicing the 9 habits.
Step 4: Make an Impact
Your life has purpose—
and one of the most fulfilling ways to grow in faith is to give your time, energy, and gifts to help others. When you serve, you become part of something bigger than yourself.
-
Serving on a First Team (hospitality, kids, worship, production, etc.)
Mentoring students or new believers
Leading or hosting a small group
-
I am serving on a team at First.
Real Stories. Real Growth.
-
"Serving in the church has allowed me to feel more connected and invested in the development of others."
Chris Chaisson
-
"The relationships we all have made from serving and growing spiritually with our friends are invaluable to us. We can’t imagine a life without these relationships."
Stefanie & Raymond Cooley
-
"In the short time we’ve been serving we’re already seeing fruit. Working in the nursery is fun and fulfilling but it’s when you run into those parents and kids in the grocery store in the middle of the week that really creates that crucial sense of community that we all need as believers."
Bailey and Korey Broussard
