1. Review

Evaluation and Elimination are important parts of moving forward. And you can only start from where you are. What things come to mind as you evaluate your life that have supreme value and what things do you find can be put aside?

Movement is an important part of life, movement is a sign of life. What areas in life to you deal with being complacent in? Where are you in regard to movement in your life in taking steps toward knowing God more and serving him more fully?

Read Hebrews 12:1-3, what are the simple instructions of these verses? If obeyed, how would these verses change you life? How have you lived these verses out in life recently? How have you seen others live this out?

2. Assess

Read Philippians 3:12-14, In Pauls life he had found supreme value in Jesus, therefore he was willing to stain forward to the high calling. In order to do so, he had to let go of and forget the past. What things tend to hold you back? What in your past are you holding on to? (even good stuff can hold us back)

What does your future look like if there is not change in your life?

When did you discover that Jesus was worth selling out for? What brought you to that point? What have you learned about living life with Jesus?

3. Apply

As a private activity: have everyone do a self evaluation. Where are they in a relationship with God? What do they need to let go of? What do they need to cling too? THEN, encourage conversations about their discoveries and what steps they will take.

Pray for everyone in group to experience victory and persevere in joyful living.
